Mozina Graphics:  Jackets & Vests

I will create a work of "Wearable Art" that is designed specifically so that it has personal significance and meaning for you.  Each piece is a One-Of-A-Kind work of art.  I guarantee there will never be another one exactly like it. You may see similarities in my works, but there will never be another one just like it- that is what makes each piece valuable.  I do not silkscreen or stencil these out.  These are all original hand painted designs that will not be copied.

All the paint work you see on these pieces is free-hand painted.  I do not use transfers or trace other artists' work out of books; they are my own designs.  Each piece is custom designed by me from scratch.  I can not pre-draw or trace on most surfaces, so it must be done free-hand.  I may rarely use custom made vinyl stencils, but they are only used for business logos or very small, tight lettering.

Because these pieces are painted with acrylic paint (which dries chemically as a thin coat of plastic) they are waterproof, very flexible and very durable.  All work is done with materials and techniques to survive normal use and wear, and to survive all types of weather.

Any stitch work you see is done by hand with heavy quilting thread, doubled-up and looped back through every other bead to keep it tight.  All of my work is meant to be worn, handled and washed.

All work is guaranteed for life under reasonable use and conditions.

Never Forgotten

This piece was done as a military tribute piece. It was not done for anyone in particular. It includes images of Infantry from many different wars. Only the back is painted.

Vietnam Vet

This is the back of a vest made for one local veteran who was a part of one of the bloodiest battles of Vietnam. All of the names on this vest are men from his unit who were lost in that battle in honor of their sacrifice. Everything on this jacket is free-hand painted including all of the metals and patches.

Vietnam Awards

This is the front of the same vest which shows all of his other metals, pins and patches of his service. Every item you see on both sides of this jacket are all free-hand painted. I lost track after about 20 hours of work on this entire piece.

Barbed Wire Chaps

I made realistic handpainted barbed wire painted on the leather chaps for the same man who owns the one Vietnam vest. These were a symbol to honor the POW's.

Indian Chief

This jacket was done for a display piece for a local dealership. It is all free-hand painted to look like an old sepia photo.

9-11 Tribute Vest

This vest was done as a tribute piece to honor all the emergency personnel who died at Ground Zero on Sept. 11, 2002 in New York. It was not done for anyone in particular, but just because I wanted to. Not for sale at this time, and yes, it is all free-hand painted.

Some Gave All

FOR SALE: Done as a tribute piece only, this jacket is currently for sale. I wanted to paint something as a thank you tribute piece for our troops. I picture painting in patches on either side but wanted to leave it up to whoever purchases it to add what they want.

Vietnam Vest

A special vest for a special retired four star general who was a sniper and a medic in vietnam. And yes, the patches are painted (no they are not real patches). You will also see names of his two relatives and one friend who gave their lives there. You will also see an eagle and a cross in the clouds.

Arabian Horse

This was for a woman who has Arabians. It was a challange because I had to work around the center and top seams to make them less visible.

Bear Spirit

FOR SALE: This jacket utilizes mixed materials. There is handpainting, airbrushing, beadwork and washable ultrasuede. It is called Bear Spirit because of the bear's skull as the main feature on the back.

Night Wolf

FOR SALE: The wolf is hand painted with acrylics on leather and the moon is airbrushed. I wanted to get a similar effect to a technique called scratch-art where you scratch through the black surface to reveal the white chalk underneath.

Rainbow Eagle

FOR SALE: A mixed-media piece, done on a denium jacket. The eagle was painted in acrylics, the moon in washable ultrasuede, and each section is outlined with hand sewn black beads. It really sparkles in the daylight.

Roses Halter Top

FOR SALE: I always see everything for women with red roses and had a woman comment that she liked pink roses instead. That gave me the idea to make this piece. It is designed to fit most women.

Red Eagle

I highlighted an embossed leather vest for a man who wanted a specific red to match his bike. He wanted the highlighting to just make the embossed art stand out a bit more from a distance.

Zeppelin Tribute

This gentleman is a huge Led Zeppelin fan and so wanted his jacket to based on that theme. I created my own version of this image to fit on his jacket.

Blue Dog

This is handpainted on denium for a man who wanted a tribute piece for his dog.

Cocker Spaniel

This piece was airbrushed for someone as a tribute piece for someone's dog.

Lift Up

This jacket was painted all by hand in acrylics. It was designed for a man who is a preacher and wanted this particular quote with art to match with an American theme.

Desert Storm

Did this jacket as a gift for a soldier when he came back from Desert Storm. Sorry no shot of the final work, but you get the idea.

Dreamcatcher Chaps

This was painted at the top, knee area of a woman's half chaps. She requested a butterfly and these specific colors be used.

Dirtbike Rider

A gift piece done for the parents of the boy who has this shirt. It is of him riding in a competition.

German Shepards

The owner of this jacket is a professional police dog trainer and these are his two dogs. The back is bleached out and then airbrushed. The front is hand painted.

Gold Wing

This is done with all hand sewn beadwork on the lapels of a woman's dress jacket.

Horse Portrait

An airbrushed portrait of the owner's horse on a sweatshirt.

Running Horses

A woman's riding duster jacket with airbrushed stencil work on the front and back.

Pinstriped Skull

This jacket was for a man who is a pinstriper. He wanted a skull and single eye to be similiar to his tatoo. I used a reference photo of an x-ray of a skull and then added the pinstripes.

Michelangelo Tribute

A tribute piece to the master painter, Michelangelo. This work was a black and white version of the face of God from Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel. It is hand painted with acrylics on denium.

Night Wing

One of my first jackets, this piece was created from mostly all beadwork. It is increadibly heavy, like armor, to wear, but gets a lot of looks. A very dramatic piece. It is mine and is not for sale.

Rainbow Dancer

There are over 200 hours in this piece alone. It is individually cut pieces of fabric, which are hand beaded with matching colored beads around each piece. Very flashy in the sun! The feathers are airbrushed on ultrasuade.

Down the Slopes

A custom airbrushed large t-shirt for a man of a photo of himself skiing in competition.

Roaring Tiger

This piece was made for a gentleman who was a martial arts instructor who collected tigers.

Wings Halter Top

FOR SALE: Created as a display piece, this leather halter top is for sale. It is designed to fit just about any woman.

Honor Jacket

Recreating the look of pins on a denim jacket is tricky because it is a rougher surface than leather. These pins and patches will last indefinately now.

"Lips"

This woman's nickname was "Lips" so she wanted the back of her denium jacket to look like a big lip print as if kissed.
